Ece-Oğuz Yalım & Feride Toprak

Ece Yalım and Oğuz Yalım founded Artful Interior Design Company in 1996, and since then, they have been involved in a wide range of product and interior design projects. Expanding their team and expertise, they launched the product design department, Ece Yalım Design Studio, in 2005, bringing Feride Toprak on board to further enhance their creative team.

The designs they create are deeply rooted in their extensive experience in interior design. Their approach is defined by aesthetics, innovation, and creativity, all while maintaining a strong commitment to functionality and quality. This requires a critical and thoughtful design process. A core principle in their work is establishing a strong relationship between humans, space, and objects.

In addition to their design work, they offer consultancy services in brand identity and art direction, providing a holistic approach to design. This is how they collaborated with MORENO to develop the company’s design strategy and new furniture collections.

Their human-centered, innovative, and universal approach has earned them numerous prestigious international design awards, including the iF Product Design Award, German Design Award, and Red Dot Design Award. In 2017, Ece & Oğuz Yalım were named DESIGN DUO of the Year by the editorial committee of ELLE Decoration Turkey. Beyond their professional work, they have taught design at Turkish universities for over a decade.

Oğuz Yalım graduated from Bilkent University, Ankara in 1993 with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. Ece Yalım completed her Industrial Design degree at Middle East Technical University in 1988, followed by a master’s degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute of Technology, New York, in 1992. Feride Toprak, who graduated from the Industrial Design department of Middle East Technical University in 2005, joined Ece Yalım Design Studio shortly after graduation.
